Sultan's Pizza and Kebab – Authentic Mediterranean & Halal Cuisine in Rockwall, TX

We stumble upon this place and the food is amazing! Everything we’ve tried so far has been fabulous! Today I had the chicken kebab lunch special. So much flavor!

How lovely, check out the pictures, I had a great experience. I found them in the ad pages this past weekend, they are relatively new, just opened 3 months ago. Food- I ordered their Chapli and "baklawa" as they ran out of the dessert starting with a J. The Chapli is like a grilled chopped beef with a lot of spices similar to a kofta, but different. You can visually see the spices, one looked like red pepper flake. They give you a generous portion of flavored rice and salad. It was very good and filling. The baklawa was warmed, it tasted fresh with the phyllo still crispy. Also he gave me a bonus baba ganoush and hummus plate to start, the baba ganoush had a nice smokey flavor just like I like it. Already planning on telling my girlfriends about this place. Atmosphere- the atmosphere is a combo counter serve casual place with a fun party area with exotic pillows in the back. See pictures. Service- the service was outstanding, the man at the register had an authentic accent, and happily explained everything. He told me to pay at the end even though it was counter serve, and brought all the food out to me. I felt like a Queen.

Every bite was a true delight, with the lamb perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. The service was warm and welcoming, making it an all-around exceptional experience. This has definitely become our new spot!

I’m really glad I finally tried this place. The environment was calm and peaceful, the service was attentive, and the food was truly enjoyable. I feel a bit disappointed that I discovered it so late — I’ve been driving past it for over a year without realizing a Halal restaurant of this quality was right here. Definitely a hidden gem!

August 2025 update: The Mediterranean burger and fries are fantastic! The burger beats even the most high-end in town and the fries are crispy and come with one of the best dipping sauces I have ever had. Thanks again for a delicious meal!! Amazing Mediterranean dishes! You can tell that the cook takes joy in his cooking! .

Been wanting to try Sultans for awhile so glad I tried it today! The owner was super nice and helpful when ordering! The food was fresh and tasty with so much flavor!

Settled for the Kebab section of the menu. Will try the pizza during a future visit. Good environment to enjoy one's meal - either solo or in a talkative group. Didn't count but saw two TV screens with totally different content for one's viewing pleasure. Received a token but complimentary salad to get the juices rolling. The Bolani was marginally extra crispy but was otherwise fine. The crispiness detracts the taste of the all important filling. Went for the Combo Grill Platter. Clearly the chicken marinade was not superficial, it had soaked into the inner sections of the meat. The chicken grilling was soft and should be the envy of most restaurants. The Chapli Kebab had its own spice signature that had been blended uniformly with the fine ground meat. The other two kebabs were moist too. The liberal use of fresh herbs made each morsel reside in the mouth just a little longer. I understand the challenges in serving "true" Afghani bread. Which one is it? But surely the chef can do better than use pita (or even lavash) as a substitute. Proper Afghani bread would make this place ascend to a higher standard.

The food is excellent, with wonderful and unique flavors. If you're looking to try something different from the usual Tex-Mex, American, or traditional Texas fare, this is definitely the place to visit.
